duration : 10'00''

year of composition : 2022

about :

The work «Violet, chatoyant, translucide» is inspired by the Lismer room at Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal that showcases glass artworks, where the natural light surrounds you, colored, warped and multiplied by the glass. I tried to capture that light and share that shimmering experience with this music. It is a semi-composed/semi-improvised work; I only wrote the melodic material, the harmonic progression and determined the form, on which the performer improvises. It was premiere by Daniel Ãnez, a collaborator dear to me with whom I share the credit for this piece.
